This piece is positioning being overweight on par with being disabled. I’m honestly at a loss for words. It is not the moral duty of anyone to make the world more comfortable for another, particularly as it pertains to that persons body size. We should, as compassionate humans, do what we can to make the world more comfortable for people who don’t have an alternative e.g disability. Being fat isn’t a disability. I don’t want to say it’s a choice, because as a dietitian I understand the complexity. But I do think it’s a stretch to imply that non-fat people should do more to make fat people feel comfortable in all situations.

Seriously??? So if one of your group of friends is fat you believe it is not your responsibility to ensure they can enjoy an experience too? If so I am truly glad i’m not your friend. Or is it possibly that you have no friends? If so, again, that speaks volumes.
