It is evident that the author of this story has written about who they assume Joe Rogan to be based on his critics and the narrative of popular media. The whole point of the JRE podcast is to offer a platform to everything and everyone. Even those who have been silenced in mainstream media - e.g. Milo Yiannopoulos.

This isn't to promote extremist views, in the way you suggest. It's freedom of speech, anti-cancel culture. It's not the 'political excesses' of the left or the right.
