I used to consider myself an atheist before I took a philosophy class with an Oxford University professor. Put simply, it goes against the reason of language to say you are atheist. The definition of atheism is to be able to prove a god doesn’t exist, without question. This isn’t possible. Thus, you should say you are agnostic — doubtful but aware that you are incapable of providing it either way. The deeper I dived into philsophy, the more reason I had to believe in God, and am now a believer.
